We All Are Dying
From the moment of our birth, we are on this journey that ends with our death. We all know that we are not getting out of this world alive. The thing is, “What are you going to do with the time in-between”? Will your time in this human form, bring joy to another human? Will you reach out to others with love, compassion, and kindness? If you think about it, we are all in this thing called life together. We are all family, it doesn’t matter the color of our skin, our religious beliefs, or any of the other insignificant differences. We are all humans with the same basic needs. We all need nourishment, water, shelter, clothing, and to feel like we belong. I also think we all have this need to feel like “we” are making some kind of difference in the world.
We all have bad days, but the thing is, we don’t have to share that negativity with those that just happen to cross our path. Everyone is going through their own “stuff”, just like we are, so can we all just show a little compassion to each other?
I think we all go through a time in our life that we feel disconnected. We are searching for some type of meaning for our life, a purpose for living. I also went through this looking for my purpose and found a video of a guru who was asked that question. He said, “People who say they have a purpose are the cruelest people in the world and they do horrible things”. After thinking about this for a while, I realized he was right. Wars are started because people say they have a purpose. He went on to say, the purpose of life is just to live it. We as human beings have a hard time living. Think about it, we are always working, planning on our next house, or car, or some-thing, that really means nothing. Have you ever just sat, alone, and did nothing. No planning in your head about all the things you need to be doing, laundry, grocery shopping, or cleaning. Just sat and enjoyed this thing we call life. Breathing, is such a wonderful thing to be grateful for. We all, and I include myself, need to stop, sit down, feast our eyes on the beauty of all God’s creation, and just breath. One of these day we are all going to no longer walk upon this earth and guess what, the laundry will still be there.
In the meantime, if we all can just be kind to each other, help ease someone’s burden a little, maybe we can leave this world a little better.
